Ancient Egyptian tea to the Maya and Aztecs drinking a
spicy cacao brew, these ingredients have been a daily part
of our existence.
We were inspired by the Fair Trade movement taking place
in the world. As aspiring entrepreneurs, we knew we had to
follow the first rule of humanity, which is the "golden rule".
Having family on many continents, we got a more global
perspective of how unfair trade practices robbed people of
their lives and freedom. Thus, the idea of Coco Libre was
formed. How do we incorporate our shared human culture
and preserve the well-being of our brethren around the
globe?
